American Village Junior Interpreters

Each year, students ages 13-18 who are interested in performance and history apply to audition for our summer Junior Interpreter program. We are looking for students who are motivated, adaptable, mature, and capable of handling a variety of responsibilities. Those selected for the program will receive professional training and learn to assist our educational interpreters in presenting the customs and times of the 18th century. Junior Interpreters generally teach colonial games to visitors, participate in various historical vignettes, and assist in back-stage areas.

Program Fee: No fee; but the purchase of an 18th Century costume is required. Costumes are custom-made in the American Village costume shop; fittings begin in March
