SECURING THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERTY:
Kindergarten through High School Program Schedule, 2025-2026

Our young people cannot safeguard what they do not cherish.  And they cannot cherish what they do not know.

As a teacher, you play a very important role in the lives of your students. Take them on one of the most important field trips they may ever experience. Coming to the American Village is a great adventure! Students are stepping into an immersive experience that is impactful, engaging, inspiring,…and FUN! A great value at only $11/student!

We invite you and your students to experience the stories of America’s journey for independence, liberty and self-government. Step into the scenes and experience the risks, uncertainties, and dramatic events as they unfolded during America’s revolutionary decision to declare its independence.

The American Village offers an opportunity for your students to become active participants in “Securing the Blessings of Liberty” and leave with a better foundation for good citizenship.

More than a field trip, the American Village educational programs are tied directly to state courses of study in history, citizenship (civics) and government, as well as graduation standards. For more information on the alignment with the state course of study, call 205-665-3535 ext. 1047. Students from every grade level benefit as they participate in experiential learning. Unique in its mission to strengthen and renew the foundations of American liberty and self-government through citizenship education, the American Village is an educational experience like no other!

NEW PROGRAM: CORNERSTONES OF FREEDOM

September 2-5, 8-12, 16-19, 22-26; January 7-9, 12-16, 21-23, 26-30; March 16-20, 24-27; May 4-8.

America won her freedom, but what do we have to do to keep it?

Cornerstones of Freedom offers high school students the exciting opportunity to experience a journey that will take them from exploring the foundations of our government, to remembering the debt we owe to the men and women who serve to defend it.

By engaging with noteworthy figures from America’s past, in state of the art settings, students will be able to explore the foundations of our constitution, debate state versus federal power, visit the office of America’s chief executive, and gain insight into the power and influence of the media. They will experience firsthand what it takes to keep our American republic, and learn that in order to do that, America must maintain one of her greatest strengths: the ability to compromise.

To make the most of this experience pre-visit work is required and those pre-visit resources will be provided upon booking.

Step into history and witness the birth of a nation!

This state-of-the-art, interactive experience uses cutting-edge technology and special effects to fully immerse students in the fight for independence—providing a deeper, more engaging way to learn history.

Begin in the West Wing of Independence Hall, where the tension of colonial unrest builds, and an original short film brings the chaos of revolution to life. Then, step into a one-of-a-kind encounter where voices from all walks of life passionately share their views on independence—in a way you’ve never seen before, but we won’t spoil the surprise.

Finally, take your seat with the 2nd Continental Congress and find yourself right in the middle of the heated debate that would shape a new nation.

Independence awaits… how will you decide?
