Camp 1776 is The American Village's mid-summer interactive guest experience. Be a part of these revolutionary times when espionage by private citizens helped demonstate the indomitable spirit we know as American.
During the month of July, 2011, you can travel back to Redcoat occupied New York in 1776. You will meet a young "schoolmaster" named Nathan Hale. Help decode a "secret message" with Malcolm and Kieran MacGregor. Watch as Mary Lindley Murray helps Washington's Army escape from the grasp of British General Howe. Finally, join the Continental Army yourself and learn if you have the skills to be a soldier.
